Four Decades Deep and Still Skating
George Powell started making boards in his garage before skateboarding had a proper industry. Stacy Peralta came on board in 1978, and the pair built one of the biggest names the sport has produced.
The Bones Brigade did the rest. Tony Hawk, Steve Caballero, Rodney Mullen, Lance Mountain and Mike McGill rode for the team through the 80s. Their video parts pulled a whole generation onto a skateboard.
Artist Vernon Courtlandt Johnson, known to everyone as VCJ, drew the graphics that turned Powell-Peralta into wall art. The Ripper, the Skull and Sword, Rat Bones. You know them even if you have never skated a park.
Today the brand runs out of Skate One in California, and the gear is as good as it has ever been.

The Powell Peralta Range at Boardstore
Skateboard decks. This is the deep end of the range. Flight decks in a stack of shapes and widths, plus reissues like the Ripper, Rat Bones, Skull and Snake, and the Rodriguez Skull and Sword.
